Lawry’s The Prime Rib
In a town that sells more prime rib than anywhere else on the planet, a decent prime rib dinner is easy to find. Bargain deals can be found in every casino on the strip, but to find the absolute best prime rib in Vegas, a five minute drive from the strip to Lawry’s is well worth the trip.

While there are one or two seafood options and a vegetarian choice on the dinner menu, aged prime beef is the star of the show at Lawry’s (the same people who bring us that indispensible kitchen staple, Lawry’s Seasoned Salt). This prime rib experience starts with a generous basket of sour dough bread and an outstanding mixed salad that is prepared and tossed tableside with flair by servers who actually appear to enjoy their jobs.

Poster perfect joints of prime rib appear on gleaming art deco carts wheeled to the table and sliced to order by adroit chefs under the direction of the servers. No dish is placed on the table until the server inspects it and gives approval. All of this is an appropriate show for serving magnificent cuts of beef so tender no steak knife is needed. Luscious mashed potatoes and puffy Yorkshire pudding complete what is nothing short of a perfect prime rib dinner and worth every penny of the hefty price that comes with it. Dinner for two with a glass of wine runs around $100.00, a fair price for perfection and for what we consider a memorable meal for serious carnivores.
