Gummy Bear Shots

Gummy Bear Shots

There are New Year Eve parties where they’ll be plenty of champagne and caviar involved, and then there will be the “other” kind of party. The kind of casual, fun party that might involve pizza and Jell-O shots. Well kids, permit me to introduce to you, the next generation of Jell-O shots, the Gummy Bear Shot.

This isn’t rocket science and might not even classify as food, but these cousins of the Jell-O Shot sure are a lot of grown-up fun. Don’t let the cutesy name fool you, these little things are deadly, but they certainly are pretty.

The process is easy. A bag of gummy bears is completely submersed in vodka by about an inch and allowed to steep overnight in the refrigerator. They absorb an amazing amount of the vodka and transform into little chewable cocktails. Seriously. Make sure you keep these away from the kids.

To serve, just place them in a bowl with a couple of slotted spoons or a fork. They’re a bit slippery from soaking the vodka all night and there’s no glamorous way to present these. A word or warning, start with just one. These become incredibly potent so please, keep these away from the kids. Happy New Year!
