Beijing Noodle No.9
Beijing Noodle No. 9 in Caesar’s Palace is one of the most visually stunning restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip. The entrance is a corridor fashioned of walls of aquariums filled with exotic goldfish. The corridor leads to seating surrounded on all sides by glowing, lacey Asian filigree walls and ceilings giving the interior an almost dreamlike feeling. The kitchen is open and diners can view authentic noodle dishes, dumplings and classic dim sum prepared in spotless, gleaming kitchens. One hint that a Chinese restaurant is serving authentic dishes is the presence of Chinese customers. On the day we dined at here tables were occupied by Chinese folks who looked obviously happy with their meals.
The noodles are prepared in view of the diners by chefs skilled in the ancient art of noodle making. Diners can view the process close-up at counter seating or from a distance at one of the tables under the fascinating wall and ceiling treatment.
We recently enjoyed some stellar dishes at Beijing Noodle No.9 and particularly loved the handmade noodles with eggplant sauce and another version with an egg sauce in an intense pork broth that was outstanding. The noodles were followed by an assortment of perfect steamed dumplings.
We loved the selection of exotic fruit juices that were a lovely compliment to the savoury dumplings. A return visit soon is planned to sample some of the other fascinating items on the menu, most well under $20 making this a reasonably priced choice for a casual lunch or dinner on the Strip.
